As its name suggests, the GE Profile series is aimed at consumers who want to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into their kitchens. This refrigerator is packed with these, from an inside-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a smart water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive and I was expecting better.

Other than that, this fridge is a great choice. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it can hold a decent amount of frozen food when compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is typical for a fridge with a French door at this price. It also has a decent-sized icemaker packed into the left door, but it's not the biggest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments for an individual storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is also attractive. The LED lighting adds an appealing accent. The in-door storage bins include a third shelf that can be folded down to store large items. The drawers have temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the complete set of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price, including Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and has numerous options for customization. It also sends you notifications when doors are left open, when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill it's an option in a handful of other GE fridges that allow you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to disperse at a time. The fridge displays a countdown to display how much water is left, but it's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to look like it's a seamless component in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment to keep vegetables and fruits fresher for longer and has dual compressors for the best food preservation. The ice maker is one of the top we've tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice with a low water consumption. This fridge is the perfect option for households with a single member or kitchenettes looking for a built-in look and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was rated the top in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never changing more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial to preventing freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the desired initial set temperature within an hour and keeping that temperature steady throughout the course of our testing.

Bosch has a reputation for high-end appliances, so it's no surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance, with the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is pricey, but offers great features and functions at a fair price.

It is crucial to be aware of the limitations of the fridge. You may need to get inventive with tall items since the fridge is limited in shelf space. Also the shelves aren't sprillproof and can be easily damaged or stained by sharp objects. It's easy to remove the trays from the fridge, but be sure to clean them regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features the standard french door fridge ice dispenser door design, and two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more space. There's also a full-width drawer to store products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it easy to transfer the frozen ice as needed. The freezer features thoughtful design elements, for instance, sliding drawers that can help you to organize the place of items. It also has a large bin that holds plenty of frozen food and an additional ice storage bin.

Another awesome feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It allows you to manage the refrigerator's temperature, lighting, and more from your smartphone. It's a great way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't add to the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge as compared to other fridges we tried. This is likely due to the greater capacity.

The doors are another problem with this fridge. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow shorter people to easily open them from the bottom, but they're difficult for taller people to guide shut without slamming them. It would have been better if they had handles mounted on the front.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to blend the aesthetics of a French-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which can make it a desirable choice.

During my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across all areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the fridge didn't differ much from 38 degrees. This is a solid performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat in order to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of grey-bodied stainless steel that has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does an excellent job of removing streaks and fingerprints, even compared to glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
