311135906_1281855972636056_2987376612771239945_nlow.jpgbentley continental key programming's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to commemorate the brand's centennial. It's made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight, keys, and an original 1930s booklet that features never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

It's the perfect present to welcome a new owner to their luxurious car.

Aesthetics

As a design-driven company, Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise placement of its quilting, the selection of leather from the by-products of cattle, timber from forests that are sustainably managed and the creative patterns on its levers. As you approach a car like the Continental GT W12, its sculptural beauty is displayed through carefully selected lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. The rear tonneau, for instance, featured the largest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to an actual production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this unique design, quality and attention to detail that has established Bentley as the most sought-after automotive brand. The company continues to push the boundaries with the latest technology and craftsmanship, including the introduction of an instrument cluster with digital technology and an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof, a custom-designed docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic smart glass that can be switched between opaque and transparent at the touch of the button.

A century after its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of conflict with BMW was able to celebrate its centennial in the year 2019. Prior to the pandemic plan taking center stage, the marque had a number of special events and launches planned to commemorate this historic occasion.

Design

Bentley is a renowned brand for its extravagant and lavish automobiles, but even keys are designed to stand out. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver with a large B' symbol to signal to everyone that you're driving a Bentley. It also has the years 1919 and 2019 to mark the company's centenary.

Bentley Mulliner redesigned and redesigned the Mulsanne to become the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It comes with two pairs of rear seats that were modelled on luxury private aircraft, providing passengers with unparalleled comfort and privacy. The customized heating and ventilation system as well as the air conditioning system was developed to give each passenger the ideal climate control settings.

The Mulsanne has twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine with 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse is enhanced by a new suspension architecture that delivers Bentley's signature hushed ride.

Bentley has launched a new specification for cars manufactured after 2019 to celebrate its centenary. It is known as the Centenary Specification. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are embossed in Centenary Gold, adding to the feeling of celebration. A bespoke Bentley key case is included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key comes with an opening button for the trunk and another which starts the car. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spaces. This feature helps you get into and out of your vehicle.

Each key takes two days to create. It is hand cut, shaped, sewn, sealed and polished to create a high-quality finish. It is compact and strong and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a luxurious feel.

It is also equipped with Secure-A-Key which prevents theft of keys with no key. This device is put inside the remote control key fob and will shut it off after a few minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices that are able to unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's unique design is a reflection of the company's values that include high-quality craftsmanship, engineering expertise and modern technology. Over 4,000 employees are employed at its Crewe headquarters, which is responsible for the development, design and production of Bentley automobiles. They apply their expertise that have been passed through generations to the latest automotive technology. This is British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

The guests sit at a collection of pictures referred to as "mood stations" and pick a collection of photos - from scenic vistas to sporting events - that are inspiring to them to design their own. Each time a selection is made, the pattern that emerges is the model preference for color, style and design for the customized Bentley.

The guests receive keys made by hand and containing the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the way of the door opening with the owner's logo or name as they approach the car.

Bentley claims it takes about 500 man-hours in order to create and assemble the average Mulsanne. One of the main reasons for that lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to take advantage of modern technology. The Crewe factory workers do not employ a machine to place perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. Instead of using the car's built-in sensors guide it to parallel and perpendicular parking spaces the drivers must do it manually.

During the event, bentley key cover presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities using one of a kind that was the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to founder William Osler Bentley. The limited-edition cars come with the key with a special design that shows a slice of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
